Reading Center Evaluation

The Reading Center Evaluators from  Cluster 2, Buhangin District, conducts its evaluation to Gorgonio Tajo Sr. National High School, Callawa, Davao City on January 19, 2012.  Mrs. Herminda C. Guerrero, principal of PLNHS is the team leader.  The members are Evelyn Lozarita, principal, CNHS, Marieta A. Munez, Ed.D., principal, TVFNHS, and Maria Liza I. Berandoy, Ed.D. Principal, ERNHS.

Mr. Benjie P. Acero is the School's Reading Coordinator both in English and Filipino.The English and Reading teachers of GTSNHS are Mrs. Plenos and Mrs Rubia who give full support for the success on the implementation of the school's Reading Program.  Dr. Romeo Ticar, the school head, congratulates the reading team of GTSNHS and also to all the teachers of the school.

THE NATIONAL READING MONTH

  

          The Gorgonio Tajo Sr. National High School conducted the National Reading Month on November 2 -28, 2011. It was spearheaded by Mr. Benjie P. Acero, being the school reading coordinator and with the cooperation of GTSNHS English teachers- Mrs Rubia and Mrs Plenos . The activities conducted were the following: a) Drop Everything and Read. The subject teachers and its students at exactly 9:00 in the morning have read any reading materials that were found in their classroom; b) The spelling contest ; c) Shared Reading. It is reading with a partner or a friend; d) Intensified Reading Remedial. This was conducted to all first year and fourth year student; and, e) Five words a week conducted during English classes to all students. This activity was made possible  because of the all-out support of its  school's head- Dr. Romeo E. Ticar.
